Michelle McLeod is the founder of Rise Respite Resource Solutions, established in 2019 with the mission of providing high-quality respite care and support services to neurodiverse individuals, particularly those with autism. Established to address the growing need for specialized care, Rise quickly became a trusted resource for families seeking individualized support for their loved ones. She started the business supporting 2 families and has grown the business to 35+ families.

We asked Michelle to share one of the biggest challenges she faced as a female entrepreneur, and how did you overcome them?

Michelle’s response to the question was: “One of the biggest challenges has been overcoming societal biases and perceptions that often limit women in business. I’ve faced skepticism when pitching ideas or seeking partnerships, but persistence and confidence in my vision have been key. Surrounding myself with a supportive network and continuously educating myself helped me navigate these challenges.”
