FEMA Region 7 RISC Meeting (20-22 September, 2022)

This three day RISC meeting will be held at the FEMA Region 7 Headquarters building in Kansas City, MO. There are no restrictions to in-person attendance and we encourage all stakeholders and partners to attend in person if possible to support collaboration and relationship building. A virtual ZOOM option is available for those who cannot attend in-person.

The primary focus of this RISC meeting is a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Seminar, which is designed orient participants to CBRN response concepts and capabilities in FEMA Region 7, with the goal of constructing a framework of CBRN capabilities in R7. The seminar includes a static display and demonstration of some of the capabilities of the Missouri 7th Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Team (CST), outside in the parking lot on day two.

The RISC Meeting Agenda is attached. Please note that Day 3 (Thursday, September 22) of the RISC is dedicated to the planning and coordination of the Defense Coordinating Officer Certification Exercise 5-8 December. Attendance for the 3rd day will only include those participating in that event.
