About this Event

Two Day Course - Friday 31st May & Saturday 1st June 10:00am-4:00pm

Explore the potential of adding fabric and fibres during the wet-felting process to create textured felt landscapes with the guidance of textile artist, Helen Riddle.

On day one you will explore how different textures can be created by incorporating fabrics into the felt-making process. By experimenting with cottons, silks, linen and other natural fabrics and fibres, you will create a group of richly textured felt samples.

On day two you will use free motion embroidery and hand stitch alongside needle-felting, to transform these into mini-landscapes, adding line and detail.

Who is the workshop for?

This workshop is suitable for beginners or for those with a little wet-felting experience.

Do I need to bring anything?

We advise bringing an apron, and an old towel to use during the wet felting process, and a carrier bag to carry your work away in.
