Felted Friends Wellbeing Workshop
About this Event
The workshop begins with a warm welcome, refreshments, introductions, and an overview of the day's activities, including accessibility and health and safety information. Participants will then learn the fundamentals of needle felting through guided demonstrations, creating the base structure of "Mitton the Mouse" using a pipe cleaner armature, foam core, and wool. Step-by-step instruction, one-to-one support, adapted equipment, and regular breaks ensure the session is accessible to all. Following lunch and opportunity for social connection, participants will refine their sculpture by adding texture, facial features, eyes, and whiskers, with the option to create a small fabric outfit as an extension activity. The workshop concludes with a group reflection, care advice for finished creations, and a celebration of participants' achievements.
