Felpup Five: Scottie Feller wrote songs so he’s singing while playing guitar, Steve Maule is gonna play drums, Pat Quinn is gonna play bass. They are old Quad Cities friends. It’s influenced by New Order, Jesus and Mary Chain, and Saves The Day.
**ABOUT THE DAVE HELMER BAND ::**
Dave Helmer Band: Dave Helmer is a songwriter’s songwriter from eastern Iowa. Helmer toured the country for 15+ years with his band Crystal City, and adds Dave Helmer Band as his newest project. Helmer’s love of guitar is reflected even further in his work as a professional luthier proudly supporting area musicians. Helmer’s signature Rock & Roll sound on his newest release “Such a Clown” has honest lyrics, catchy melodies, and ripping guitar work that sticks in your head.
**ABOUT GOOD MORNING MIDNIGHT ::**
Good Morning Midnight: Good Morning Midnight are a homegrown Midwest indie rock band in the truest sense. Initially formed as the songwriting vehicle of Charlie Cacciatore, GMM quickly grew into a full-fledged ensemble with a rotating lineup of local musicians filling out its ranks. Lo-fi home recordings blossomed into full-band arrangements on the band’s 2017 debut Basket of Flowers, with Cacciatore’s open-hearted lyrics and jangly Telecaster licks evoking indie heroes of yore such as The Replacements, Sebadoh, and Built to Spill. From then on, Good Morning Midnight have kept up a steady and prolific pace both in the studio and on the regional touring circuit. Each subsequent album — 2018’s Both Neither and Both, 2021’s Songs of Violence, and the 2024 offering All the Birds’ Men — depicts a different iteration of GMM. To use the analogy of film, the cast and the scenery shift and alter, but the auteurist eye of the director remains constant…
