Felix and Undine will be with us for an Urbankiz special. Schedule:
Saturday 29th October
14:00-17:30 - 3 hours of class with breaks
Workshop 1 - From walking to dancing
- To start off the weekend we will focus on the way we step, transfer weight and move our feet and body. How our posture affects each step, connection with your partner and the way we lead and follow. From stepping and posture exercises to applying the techniques to your dance.
Workshop 2 - Dancing in union
- The focus in this workshop will be on the communication and connection with your partner. We will guide you through principles of active, engaged following as well as attentive and clear leading. Combined with the first workshop, this will create harmony in your dance.
Workshop 3 - Upgrade your pivots
- Here we start working on the techniques of pivots both for leaders and followers. Going from basic understanding and movements to adding creativity to this technique, and of course what to look out for when following.

Sunday 30th October

Workshop 1 - Shadow figures
- In this workshop we will work with one of the most fun and challenging leading & following connections - the shadow position. Combining exercises and step combinations to get bring you security and comfort in this connection.
Workshop 2 - Understanding cross steps
- Last but not least, the playful cross steps - what they are, how to follow them with ease and lead them with precision. From first principles to adding flavour to your dance.

Abut Felix:
Felix is the kind of person to invest 100% into where his curiousity draws him. He started as a hip hop dancer at 18 years old and soon began travelling as he recognized the importance of this international exchange. Eventually he made the transition to social dancing and just got hooked on the music and posibilites he saw in Urban Kizomba. His analytic thinking, scientific background and natural curousity come together in the form of a soft, clean, yet creative and technical style. As a teacher he focuses on sharing those values with both leaders and followers, enabling them to continue to grow outside of the workshops.
About Undine:
Undīne is an international UrbanKiz teacher from Latvia based in Denmark.
She started her dance journey at the age of 3 with Competitive Ballroom & Standard Latin dance. From there she has explored many other styles like :Hip Hop, Heels, Pole dance, Salsa, Bachata and more until she fell in love with the vibes of Kizomba & UrbanKiz.
For the past 5 years Undīne has been teaching UrbanKiz and other related styles as a leader & follower and has a strong love and foundation for both roles. She believes there is no such a thing as "just follow" so she puts strong focus on equal knowledge for the followers during couple workshops.
In her Ladystyling classes she focuses on developing the followers confidence, trust and security in their movements.
She creates positive and inspiring atmosphere in her workshops and enjoys sharing her passion and knowledge for dance.
