Prepare yourself for a summer of feel-good music and community spirit as we champion beating mental health stigmas across Birmingham. ?
One in four people across the UK experience a mental health problem in their lifetime, it could be you, your friend, a family member, or a neighbour.
Feel the Rhythm, Beat the Stigma is a series of community music events that aim to bring people together and talk about a topic that for too long has been stigmatised.
Spanning across four locations in Birmingham, we will be reaching out to the community and teaching people about the importance of mental health and the help that is available – all whilst having a bit of fun at the same time. Following the success of our first event held at Endeavour Court, our next stop is the Zinnia Centre this August. ? ?
These family events are for all ages, with over 20 stalls hosting games, charity raffles, pottery sessions, hot food and drink, mental health support information and much more.
Local artists, including The One Love Band, a lively five-member Reggae band from Small Health, Birmingham will be performing live throughout the event, playing well-known tunes from the 80’s that will be sure to get everyone up and dancing!
