About this Event
With the overwhelming success of last year’s event, we are thrilled to announce its return for a second round in 2025!
While Colorado is celebrated for its beer and cider, the state's wines are too often overlooked. We are excited to showcase the stunning and innovative wines being crafted in the Grand Valley. Join us for an afternoon of tasting featuring a selection of wineries curated by Advanced Sommelier Logan Silbert. This is your chance to meet the talented winemakers of Colorado and discover what makes their techniques exceptional, especially in the challenging growing conditions of our region.
During the Grand Tasting, a variety of Colorado wineries will be pouring their finest selections, allowing you to explore the flavors of the Colorado wine industry without the need to travel across the mountains. Complementing the wines, Slow Food Denver will provide nibbles and bites for you to savor while you sip.
If you’re still on the fence, consider joining one of our exclusive VIP experiences with Advanced Sommelier Logan Silbert for a blind tasting. This unique opportunity pairs Colorado wines alongside renowned varietals from around the globe. You could experience a Colorado Pinot Noir compared to a classic Red Burgundy, or a Colorado Riesling alongside esteemed German or Austrian Rieslings.
The VIP experiences will consist of two separate 60-minute immersive blind comparison tastings, complete with delightful bites to enjoy throughout. Choose between the 2pm start time class or the 3:30pm class. VIP ticket holders will also receive an intimate opportunity in between the classes to enjoy the Grand Tasting in a small group before the general admission joins.
The Wineries:
- Buckel Family
- Fallen Mountain
- Storm Cellar
- Bookcliff
- Aquila Cellars
- The Ordinary Fellow
- Dryland Distillery
About Our Instructor:
Logan Silbert came of age in the world of wine believing that wine, let alone great wine, could not be grown in Colorado. With research, experience and his growing passion for wine, he realized that great wine could be grown in Colorado and in other under-appreciated regions of the world. This sparked his lifelong journey of wine education and exploration. He came to understand that wine is simply liquid geography, geology, climate, history, culture, art and cuisine. Logan became a Master Sommelier Candidate and one of less than a thousand Advanced Sommeliers in the world.
Logan has worked in wineries in Colorado to California and Oregon and has been the Wine Director of Michelin Starred restaurants from Napa to Denver and Boulder. His goal is to eliminate the intimidation in wine and share the feeling one gets when you step into a vineyard or taste the perfect pairing and truly understand the wine from inside out.
