What: Did you know that our coastline has many shallow shipwrecks that are perfect for snorkel explorations? These man-made ecosystems also often host abundant wildlife, but knowing where to go and what precautions to take are essential. In our first talk of 2026, West Coast ocean legend Chris Samson will share some of his favourite wreck locations, alongside his signature style of underwater videography, and with tips of how and when to visit these sites.Bonus: Free draw prizes, including a gift certificate for East 2 West Freediving .
When: Feb 10, 6:30pm. The presentation is followed by the opportunity to meet and mingle.
Where: The COAST Ocean Innovation Hub, 517 Herald Street, Victoria.
Parking: There is paid parking onsite, or free parking a block away (Store Street beyond Herald). If you store your bike at the racks, be aware that there have been thefts so make sure to lock the frame and wheels securely.
How much: Free, by donation (suggested $2 to help us cover our costs).
