About this Event
In this session, teachers will learn how to create cyanotypes on multiple surfaces utilizing found objects as subject matter.
All materials will be provided, but guests are encouraged to bring their own small objects as well as surfaces to be printed on (ex. tote bag, clothing, scarf). Please make sure surfaces are constructed from 100% organic materials such as unbleached cotton, canvas, linen.
Hilary Scullane is an interdisciplinary artist and art educator based in Houston, Texas. She earned her BFA in Sculpture from the University of Houston in 2014 and currently teaches Sculpture at The John Cooper School in The Woodlands. Scullane has showcased her work in group exhibitions at The Orange Show for Visionary Art, DiverseWorks, and annually at The Menil Collection for the BringYourOwnBeamer event. Additionally, she participated as a Summer Studios artist at Project Row Houses, a renowned residency program in Houston's Northern Third Ward.
