Iowa LUG will be joining the Science Center of Iowa in their Girls in Science Festival where girls and families of all ages are invited to explore a variety of STEM careers and connect with female role models. We will be presenting a hands-on Great Ball Contraption (GBC) experience.
What is a GBC:
Great Ball Contraptions are a series of mechanical modules that move a LEGO ball from module to module. Similar to a bucket brigade but each module accomplishes the task in its own way, giving the impression of a Rube Goldberg machine.
Admission to the Science Center is all you need to enjoy ours and many other programs throughout the day.
