“More Volunteer Opportunities for Seniors”
In the past we heard from Michelle Shiver about the many volunteer opportunities for seniors through RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program) Polk; however, there are many more places which need your help. Please come to our February 11th meeting and learn about three local organizations in need of volunteers – LVIM (Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine), READ Lakeland and VISTE (Volunteers in Service to the Elderly). This will be a time to learn what each organization does and how you can help. Other organizations who run on “volunteer power”, including the Rath Senior ConNEXTions Center, will be present with information also.
