DANCE DETAILS:
WHAT: A beginner-friendly community dance that's welcoming to everyone!
With super awesome live east-coast tunes by top-notch Halifax musicians.
Non-gendered and welcoming to all-- no previous experience required, no need to bring a partner.
WHEN: Saturday, February 11th
– Doors open at 7pm - come early to stash your coats, change your boots and get yourselves signed in!
- Beginner Orientation 7:15-7:30 - highly recommended if you haven't danced with us before
- Dancing starts at 7:30 sharp! We'll wrap up around 10pm.
WHERE: All Nations Church Hall – 2535 Robie St at Charles

COST: Cost is sliding scale! We suggest $15 or more if your budget allows it-
otherwise, pay what you can – even a twoonie is appreciated
CASH ONLY PAYMENT – thank you for remembering to bring cash!
THINGS TO BRING:
- A water bottle (you will get thirsty and we have limited glassware)
- Don’t forget cash for admission
- Please bring a mask on hand, even if you don’t wish to wear it for dancing.
WHAT TO WEAR:
- Low-heel, smooth-soled shoes (if it’s muddy out, bring a pair of clean shoes if you can)
- Dress in comfortable clothing and wear layers – you will get hot!
- But – we’ll have lots of windows and doors open for ventilation so bring warm layers for the breaks!
- We encourage you to dress in what makes you comfortable - whether casual clothes, pajamas, fancy dress-up clothes, or a full-on costume. Come in the clothes you will have the most fun in!
- We encourage a scent-free environment, but still recommend the use of deodorant :)
A note on masking:
To help keep everyone safe, we would appreciate it if you could wear a mask when comfortable doing so.
Masks are not required during dancing
A note on payment:
We want our dances to be affordable to everyone, so our admission is on a sliding scale. Our suggested admission fee is $15 but we welcome any amount that works for your budget.
Our dream is to pay everyone fairly, which is why we welcome donations over $15 if you can afford it!
No matter what you pay, remember we can *only* accept cash payment, so please do bring cash with you. . .
