February 4th Lunch n' Learn & GASB Update Webinar

On Wednesday, February 4th the Des Moines Chapter of AGA is hosting a combined monthly meeting, educational Lunch n’ Learn (LnL), and training webinar. Lunch (BYOL) begins at 11:30 am, followed by a brief business meeting. The LnL presentation begins at 12:00 pm followed by the webinar from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

Katie Barry and Elizabeth Johnson from RSM will provide an overview of RSM’s services provided to Government Entities and how GASB 103 & 104 will affect their clients. Katie is in RSM’s Technical Accounting Division and Elizabeth is in RSM’s State and Local Government Industry division. Please join us in learning more about RSM and how the upcoming GASB’s will affect government entities.

Several GASB pronouncements go into effect in the coming fiscal years. Join this webinar to discuss projects on GASB’s current technical and research agendas.

• Discuss the provisions of recent GASB pronouncements.
• Determine how the recent pronouncements change financial reporting and enhance the understandability of government financial statements.
• Discuss ongoing GASB projects.
