Makinde is the award winning author of five books, Reign of Freedom (2019), Light of Darkness (2021), Worth of Diamonds (2023), Hopeland (2023), Cassius King (2023), in addition to The Wonderful Attic of Dreams. He holds a BA in Communications and an MBA from Boise State University, where he was also a 2010 Fiesta Bowl Champion.
