The cost for this half day workshop (approx. 3-4 hrs.) is $20.This is a class for an owner/user of a Singer Featherweight sewing machine in WORKING ORDER.
Description: Understanding general maintenance and cleaning of Singer Featherweight 221 sewing machine, including common problems and fixes, lubrication, cleaning and polishing. The student will gain confidence in the proper care and maintenance of a Singer Featherweight including proper belt adjustment. Also covered is hook, bobbin case and tension disassembly and assembly for cleaning.
Handouts include oiling points, hook/bobbin, & tension assembly diagrams.
Materials needed for class: a working Singer Featherweight sewing machine, magnetic dish, sewing machine screwdrivers, old hand towel for under the machine, flashlight, Qtips, & sewing machine oil (with small tip for those hard to reach spots).
Oil in containers can be purchased during class for $8.
