You are invited to FEAST OF TABERNACLES CELEBRATION at Bethel Twin View Main Sanctuary on FRIDAY 14th October 2022 at 7pm.
SPECIAL IN-PERSON GUEST SPEAKER : CANON ANDREW WHITE, THE VICAR OF BAGHDAD.
BRING A DISH TO SHARE FOR A POTLUCK DINNER.
THIS IS AN EVENT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY - BRING YOUR KIDS AND YOUR FRIENDS! We will have a tabernacle for them to help decorate.
FEAST OF TABERNACLES - also known as Feast of Booths or "SUKKOT" in Hebrew - is the 7th and final feast in the Bible and one of the three feasts that Jews were to observe each year by going to “appear before the Lord your God in the place which He shall choose” (Deuteronomy 16:16).
The importance of the Feast of Tabernacles can be seen in how many places it is mentioned in Scripture:
- It was at this time that Solomon’s Temple was dedicated to the Lord (1 Kings 8:2).
-It was at the Feast of Tabernacles that the Israelites, who had returned to rebuild the temple, gathered together to hear Ezra proclaim the Word of God to them (Nehemiah 8). Ezra’s preaching resulted in a great revival as the Israelites confessed their sins and repented of them.
-It was also during this Feast that Jesus said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:37–39).
- It looks to the future of Jesus' return, reminding us of the coming marriage supper of the Lamb!
THIS IS KNOWN AS THE FESTIVAL OF JOY!!! So come EXPECTANT!!!!
