FCS Open House :: Fall 2024

Over a decade ago we began welcoming leaders, innovators, and practitioners from all over the country who come to learn about our model for empowering neighborhoods to thrive. We are excited to be hosting our next Open House in the Fall of 2024, with an extended timeframe to allow for more learning and connecting.

FCS has been working in under-resourced neighborhoods in Atlanta for over 40 years. We would love to share our story and strategies with you. Come to learn from and be inspired by our exceptional staff and neighbors. Return re-energized for impact in your own community.

Open House is a 2-day event that will officially begin at the FCS offices in Historic South Atlanta at 9 am on Monday, October 7th, allowing you to immerse yourself in the principles and values of FCS. This first day will include background on our work and the neighborhood we serve, as well as a roundtable lunch and tour of the neighborhood. Day 1 will end at 5:30 pm.

Open House will continue the following day, Tuesday, October 8th, at 9 am. Day 2 will allow us to dig deeper into the pillars of our work, with presentations from directors. A new feature this year will be the option to choose a breakout session. These sessions are led by directors and other experts who will answer any questions you have on the corresponding subject matter. You will be able to select one of the following sessions: Racial Equity in Community Engagement, Mixed-Income Housing, Neighborhood Engagement, Economic Development, Leadership, Operations, or Fundraising/Development. After registration, you will receive an email asking to confirm which session you'd like to join. Please respond to that email with your selection as soon as possible to secure your preferred session because spaces are limited. Lunch will be provided again on Day 2 and we will end the day at 4 pm.
