THE HISTORY: On September 30, many years ago.. Faux Frenchmen, which featured George, guitarist Brian Lovely, bassist Don Aren and violinist Karen Addie (Paul Patterson joined within two years) played their first date together. Tink’s owner Elliot Jablonsky, contacted guitarist George Cunningham regarding putting music in his restaurant, on Monday nights. Elliot said “I’m thinking David Grisman.” George said “I’m thinking Django Reinhardt.” And... as they say, The rest is history! Soon thereafte,r a group that started as a fun Monday night gig, became a popular and award-winning recording and performing musical force in Cincinnati and, later, throughout the Eastern and Midwestern U.S. Join us at the historic Liberty Hall to celebrate the Faux Frenchamn and thier iconic sound.
