Fathomland Film Festival 2026
About this Event
Welcome to the Fathomland Film Festival 2026!
Get ready for an epic in-person experience where storytellers and movie lovers unite. Please note, the fest takes place on 3 venues this year, over 5 nights.
Night 00: Nov 16- Harbinger Night at the VIFF Center
Night 01: Nov 26- Magical Realism at the Cultch-Culture Lab
Night 02: Nov 27- Hard Sci-Fi at Container Brewing
Night 03: Nov 28- Philip K. Dickensian Tales at the Container Brewing
Night 04: Nov 29- Puppets & Stop Motion at the Cultch-Culture Lab
Be prepared to Laugh! Cry! Scream! Dance! and Sob uncontrollably in front of strangers, possibly your future partner! That's right, it's time to co-emote with strangers in the dark. There will be popcorn! No outside food allowed (emotionally enforced ...) and films about sad and vengeful rabbits! Rabbits that have the power of creation! If you're a fan of rabbit-centric cinema, then Fathomland Film Festival 2026 is the place to be. Also, see:
-Guillermo del Torro's Debut Masterpiece Cronos (1993)
-Oscar Winner I’m Not a Robot (Ik Ben Geen Robot) (2023)
-Locally shot films Time Helmet, Woodman, The Opening, and Salamander
-NFB Stop Motion Masterworks Madame Tutlli Putli, The Girl Who Cried Pearls, and Inkwo: For When the Starving Return.
-And More! See the full program at fathomland.org. We're not futzing around!
Don't miss it! or you'll find yourself, once again, crying in the shower over this missed opportunity, and hot-water is expensive.
