Anglesey Mountain is a wonderful peak at the northern end of the Cooley Mountains and on a clear day has absolutely beautiful views of the rest of the Cooley Mountains and surrounding areas. At around 482 metres she might not be the highest peak but she definitely makes you work for most of those metres 😅 On this route we start from Victoria Lock carpark and make our way up through Fathom Woods and along the hidden waterfall before we hit the open mountainside. There are a few steep bits from here and uneven mountain terrain and does require a decent level of fitness but it is worth the effort 😀 Proper clothing and footwear are required. No runners or jeans.
Duration: 3.5 -4 hours approx
Difficulty: Strenuous in parts
Meeting Point: Victoria Lock Carpark.
