Our classes and workshops are the perfect “unique” alternative to a material gift or “stuff” for any occasion! Learn woodturning basics as you use a wood lathe to craft a custom wooden handles for two of our hardware kits – Rockler Shoe Horn and Rockler Back Scratcher! Each attendee will make and take home their own set to give to their dad or give dad the gift of making his own! All materials are included. This is a comprehensive 6 hour class with a 30 minute lunch break. All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions Apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases.
