Don’t miss our special Father's Day Service on Sunday 7 September at 10.30 am! Join us to celebrate all the important and awesome men in our lives! We've got gifts for all the men (ages 18+) and spot prizes throughout the service!Our guest speaker is Michael Douglas. Michael has been a member of The Salvation Army Church for the previous 38 years, and started attending BBCC with Melissa in January 2025. He has worked cumulatively for The Salvation Army for 27 years, holding roles that have included youth work, ordained ministry as a Salvation Army Officer, pastoring churches in Whakatane and Levin, Military Chaplaincy in service to the New Zealand Army, and, for the last 18 years, various senior leadership roles supporting mental health and addiction services across the motu. This has included leadership of Stepping Stone Trust, Canterbury, as CEO, with a close association to South West Baptist Church, where he was responsible for delivering their regional mental health services, including both planned and crisis mental health respite care.
