Father’s Day Sunday School event on Sunday, June 21 at 10:00 a.m., offering children a meaningful and creative way to celebrate the people who love and guide them. Centered on the theme “Framed in Faith,” the experience highlights the message that God’s love surrounds every child and is reflected through caring adults in their lives.During the event, children will design and decorate personalized photo frames—thoughtful keepsakes created to honor dads, grandfathers, mentors, and other important figures. Each frame becomes more than a craft; it is a reminder that faith helps “frame” our lives with love, support, and belonging.
The celebration is intentionally inclusive, recognizing that every child’s story is unique. Whether a father is part of daily life or not, the event encourages children to reflect on the many ways they are cared for and supported, while emphasizing that God’s presence is constant.
Along with the hands-on activity, children will take part in a short, age-appropriate devotional focused on how faith surrounds and strengthens families. The morning will also include lighthearted moments, with kids adding playful messages to their frames such as, “Thanks for framing my life with love (and snacks!)”—creating gifts that are both heartfelt and joyful.
“This is a beautiful opportunity for children to express gratitude and creativity while learning an important spiritual truth,” said the Rev. Leah Bergstrom. “We want every child to feel seen, supported, and reminded that they are always surrounded by God’s love.”
