Date: Saturday, June 20th.
Time: 3-7 PM
Welcome folks to our upcoming Father’s Day Fest. Our purpose is to honor fathers in our community and create an enjoyable time for families to bond.
We want you to know from the start that there is a method to our madness. Part of our purpose for this grand celebration is to follow up on a recent proclamation for the month of June, which was the Faith, Family, and Responsible Fatherhood Proclamation.
This gathering coincides with our nation honoring the commandment of the Lord that honors fathers the following day, Sunday, June 21st. We thought it was needed and necessary to follow up and build on this momentum in our community that is moving in a right direction for us and our posterity.
There will be fun, games, family activities, food, and refreshments. Come and enjoy three-legged races, tug of war competitions, flipping tire races, and a volleyball tournament between parents and their children. There will also be two bounce houses. One for the littles and one that is an obstacle course for bigger kiddos.
We will conclude this event with a brief rally to encourage and support men as they fulfill their role as fathers. For those moved, there will be a Father's Covenant to sign to take home as an inspirational reminder on how important men as fathers are to God, their families, the church, and the community.
