Fate vs Freewill

Does an individual go through the motions of life according to a pre-written script or does one possess a freewill to chart out a course of life based on one’s choices? Is the individual ‘will’ really ‘free’? Is there a restriction to the scope of one’s choices? What is the role of intellect in accomplishing the choices? Perplexity of fate versus freewill always leads to never-ending debates. The ideal way to resolve this issue is for one to plunge and experience the truth by and within oneself.

Being free is the true & essential nature of an individual. Vedanta helps us to understand this truth theoretically and realize it practically. Surrender to the Supreme Will ultimately dissolves the illusory ego along with the notion of freewill.
