Fat Yoga: Size Inclusive Movement for Bigger Bodies

Join Fat Babes of Phoenix for a size inclusive yoga class led by Meli (@fatbrowngirlyoga).

Meli will lead us through a one hour class focusing on accessible, size inclusive movement. Please arrive 5 minutes prior to class start time.

Cost:

This event requires a $20 registration fee per person. We are currently funded entirely by individuals running this group so we appreciate your support. All funds go towards cost of planning and booking events.

What to Bring:

• Yoga mat
• Water
• Towel (if needed)

We also suggest wearing clothing that is comfortable to you. Feel free to bring any items of your own you wish to use.

Who Can Attend?

This class is restricted to fat bodies only. We are creating a safe, inclusive space for folks who exist in bigger bodies.

We typically use the size descriptors XL or 1X and above as a general guide. This blog post includes a Fatness Spectrum graphic which is helpful for further understanding.

Accessibility:

• Building is wheelchair accessible
• Studio room is located on the ground floor
• ADA bathrooms available
• Class instruction will include seated accomodations (please let us know if you require a chair)
• Masks will not be required but are welcomed for anyone who chooses to mask

Parking:

• Free parking in private parking lot
• Additional free parking in parking garage across from parking lot

Cancellations

Please cancel your ticket at least 24 hours ahead of time if you are unable to attend. We have a limited number of spots available and this will allow others to take advantage of the opportunity.
