FAT performed with Little Richard, Bonnie and Delaney, Freddie King, Muddy Waters Steppenwolf, Robin Trower, Grand Funk Railroad, and several times alongside the original Allman Brothers with Duane Allman and Barry Oakley.
They have played numerous prestigious venues: Madison Square Garden, The Capital Theatres and the Strawberry Fields Festival to name a few..
Their songs have been recorded by producers: Adrian Barber (Aerosmith, The Allman Brothers); Mick Ronson (David Bowie, Bob Dylan); Murray Krugman (Blue Oyster Cult); Felix Pappalardi (Cream, Mountain) at Criteria, A&R, and RCA studios.
Mitch (Chakour) ruled the roost at the Rusty Nail with his powerhouse Mission Band in the mid ‘70s before moving on to Joe Cocker’s band as co-music director, keyboardist and background vocalist. He has also toured with The J. Geils Band and Peter Wolf. A dynamic vocalist, accomplished multi-instrumentalist, and transcendent performer his resume includes blues and R&B greats: Howling Wolf, Koko Taylor, Muddy Waters, Freddie King and many more. Mitch also spent the last 2 years as Professor of Vocal Jazz at The University of Massachusetts.
