Fastforpeace.org is inspired by the lessons of Mohandas Gandhi, and the fasts for peace that he used to both end violence and promote unity among disparate groups. Gandhi wrote that when when hundreds of thousands of countrymen fasted together, it ennobled individuals and nations. Nonviolence can help restore America's nobility in the world.
