This course will emphasize the skills necessary to properly draw blood specimens by veinipuncture/capillary puncture, and how to properly handle specimens for clinical laboratory testing. You will learn how to deal with infection control, patient contact, medical ethics and legal issues in health care. Anatomy and physiology of the vascular system as they pertain to Phlebotomy will be reviewed. Lab skills will require you to successfully practice and perform veinipuncture safely using standard precautions. This course provides training for entry-level employment.📅 Mon/Wed/Fri through May 22
