Fast Eddy Short Film Premiere
About this Event
Join us for the premiere of Fast Eddy, one of Canada’s first films focusing on an aged cycling champion entering the next era of his life.
Admission is free. Guests are invited to make an optional pay what you can donation. Donations and event proceeds will support the Glenrose Hospital Foundation.
The 75-minute program includes the Fast Eddy premiere, a fireside chat with Serena Mah and the cast and crew, followed by a reception.
Venue: Dr. Bill Black Auditorium inside the main Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital complex, 10230 111 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta. Accessible parking options are available on site.
On a country road, an elderly former cycling champion, his single parent daughter, a lonely travelling salesman, and an overworked rural hospital nurse are confronted with sudden, overwhelming discoveries of life and resolve to dance.
Told in real time, Fast Eddy is a moving drama about aging, family, resilience, and human connection. The film stars Don Ast, better known in Canada as Nestor Pestor and a three time Juno Award nominee, alongside veteran performers Deanna Clee, Bill Gardiner, and Patricia Darbasie.
