About this Event
Join author Cindy Sipala for a look at both the style and substance of one of the most unforgettable stars in entertainment history. Marlene Dietrich was an iconoclast who redefined what it meant to be feminine and sexy. She could be the ethereal love goddess adorned in feathers one minute and bending gender norms in top hat and tails the next. Behind it all was a woman of not only great talent and looks but of determination and purpose as she used her power as a global star to make a difference in some of the darkest days of the twentieth century.
Cindy Sipala is the author of several books including Lucy at the Movies, Lana: The Memories, the Myths, the Movies, Sophia Loren: Movie Star Italian Style, and more. She is also an executive editor at Running Press Book Publishers, where she works on a range of entertainment and pop culture titles.
Dietrich style is highly encouraged.
