Fashion Revolution: A South Central Fashion Show! Front-Row Reserve

This is a student-led event at Fremont High School, but the whole South Central community is welcome. Free and open to the public.

The Fremont Historical Society Club presents Fashion Revolution: a South Central fashion show celebrating style, identity, and creativity rooted in our community.

About the Fremont Historical Society Club: We're a student-led club at John C. Fremont High School in South Central LA dedicated to uncovering the histories of marginalized voices and educating our student body through inclusive perspectives often left out of mainstream curriculum. We believe history belongs to all of us, and that telling fuller, truer stories is itself an act of community power.

This year's theme: Fashion as Resistance. As high school students, the choices we make about how we dress matter. What we wear isn't just fabric: it's a statement about who we are, where we come from, and what we stand for. Our style carries our South Central identity: the cultures of our families, the streets we grew up on, the music we bump, the people who raised us. When we get dressed in the morning, we're telling the world we're proud of where we're from. We're pushing back against narratives that try to flatten us, stereotype us, or tell us we don't belong. Fashion Revolution is a celebration of the high schoolers in South Central who turn getting dressed into an act of pride, creativity, and resistance.

Come through in your best fits. 🔥 Whether it's vintage, thrifted, handmade, streetwear, or straight out your tía's closet, wear what makes you feel most YOU. This is a runway, on and offstage.

The show will feature student models, fashion-related vendor booths, and live performances by Fremont's Pop Rock Music Club bands: Dirty Hearts and Classic Faces

🚪 Doors open at 3:30 PM

🎤 Show starts at 4:00 PM

🅿️ Parking & Entry:

• Option 1: Park in the school parking lot off Town Ave and enter through the Town Ave gate
• Option 2: Park on the street in front of the school (San Pedro St.) and enter through the main front entrance
• Either way, follow the signs to the quad
• Please be respectful of neighbors and driveways when parking on the street
