About the Course
A hands-on Fashion and Textile Design workshop for young creatives Ages 10 - 18 where you’ll learn to create unique fabric designs and transform them into wearable garments.
This dynamic and creative summer workshop introduces students to the exciting world of fashion and textile design. Through hands-on projects and guided instruction, participants will explore the full design process — from initial concept and sketching to fabric manipulation and garment construction. Students will experiment with colours, textures, patterns, and sustainable practices while developing their personal style and creative confidence. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, this workshop provides a fun, supportive environment to express your ideas and create wearable art

What You Will Learn
- Fashion Design Basics: Sketching, fashion illustration, and creating mood boards
- Introduction to sewing machines and practical sewing skills
- Textile Exploration: Understanding different fabrics, prints, patterns, and textures
- Surface Design Techniques: Shibori, block printing, fabric painting, and embellishment
- Garment Construction: Basic sewing skills, pattern making basics, and transforming textile designs into wearable garment
All materials will be provided.
Participants are kindly asked to bring their lunch.
