Fashion & Sewing Summer Camp

Monday July 13 - Friday July 17

This camp introduces youth to the fundamentals of fashion design and sewing. Participants will learn how to safely operate a sewing machine, understand fabrics, and design their own wearable or functional item. By the end of the week, each camper will create a custom piece from scratch!

All sewing machines, materials, and tools are provided by us, ensuring an accessible, beginner-friendly experience for all participants.

By the end of the week, participants will:

• Understand basic sewing machine operation and safety
• Identify different fabrics and their uses
• Read and follow beginner sewing patterns
• Measure, cut, and assemble fabric pieces
• Apply creative design elements (colour, embellishment, personalization)
• Complete a finished, wearable or functional item
