The Government of Canada officially recognized September as FASD Awareness Month in 2020. During the month of September, we celebrate both FASD Day and FASD Month and encourage communities to continue to work towards increased awareness of FASD throughout the whole month of September and beyond.
Join us on September 9th, 2024 Muskoseepi Park for a day dedicated to raising awareness about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).
Event Highlights:
Free BBQ: Enjoy a delicious meal courtesy of the Rotary Club. It's a great opportunity to connect with others in the community while supporting a vital cause.
Informational Booths: Visit our informational booth as well as those from other local organizations in Grande Prairie. Learn more about FASD, access resources, a check out a variety of activities designed to inform and engage.
Walk/Run Trails: Choose from three scenic trails within Muskoseepi Park and participate at your own pace. As you walk or run, you'll encounter informative displays featuring statistics, facts, and key information about FASD. This interactive experience is designed to enhance understanding and foster awareness about FASD.
Whether you're here to learn, support, or simply enjoy the day, your participation helps shine a light on FASD and supports efforts to improve awareness and understanding. We look forward to seeing you there!
