About this Event

Rosemary Wisbey was a lecturer for The Open University and The University of Surrey and on retirement joined Farnham U3A where she continues to lecture on a range of subjects, mainly literary.

She has dedicated her talk to the memory of Jean Parratt MBE, the well-known local historian who persuaded her and her mother to write down their memories of childhood in Farnham.  The result was two little books, ‘Common Child’ and ‘Show-Off’, recording the exploits of two lively and mischievous little girls in the 1920s and 1940s.
