Original Languages: Panjabi and Hindi with English Subtitles.The film looks at the massive year-long protests against the Indian government’s then newly enacted farm laws during the COVID lockdown.
It was the world’s largest labour protest, with millions marching in solidarity against the corporations who, once they assumed dominance over agricultural commodities, would steal from the farmers who had dedicated their livelihoods for their families and their country.
The farmers were victorious!!!

The film is part of Food Sovereignty Day at the Star & Shadow.
The Two Documentary Films and Three Talks/ Demonstrations on growing vegetables are timed so that everyone should be able to watch at least one film and attend a Growing Veg talk.
The Café will be open for the day selling hot food and all refreshments.
The films will have English subtitles. The talks will have a BSL Interpreter.
