Create your own wool weaving at February Farmhouse Family Day!
About this Event

Join us for some cozy winter crafting this February Family Day as we learn to weave with paper plates! We will be exploring texture, pattern, and color as we create soft woven bowls from paper plates and yarn, and learning about ways weaving has been used by different cultures throughout history. After finishing your project, explore our historic house to discover some tools that would have been used for fiber arts in the colonial era. Enjoy coloring, a reading corner, and historical toys and games!

Other things to know:

Family Day runs from 11am to 3pm, with the weaving activity beginning at 1pm. This is an all ages event, ideal for kids ages 4-10.

Bring your food scraps for compost drop off!

Dress warmly - Family Day takes place indoors and outdoors.

We recommend using the restroom before your arrival. There is one port-o-san on the property.
