About this Event
Friday 14th April 2023 @ 9.30am - 12.30pm
Today we focus in on the native bee. We start the workshop with a native bee hunt through the market gardens and macadamia orchard. In craft we make a tin can and bamboo bee house and natural lip balm with beeswax and honey.
What is included?
The Farm Tour
At the beginning of each workshop we take the children on an educational and fun tour of The Farm. We educate them about our cows, pigs, bees, chickens, flower crops, herb garden, orchard and veggie crops. We discuss concepts like paddock rotation for the animals, pollination, organic farming, healthy soil and composting and other ethical farming practices. The children get up close and personal with our pet chickens and when available we taste veggies, edible flowers and herbs.
