New for 2025, Old Cowtown Museum is hosting Farm Encounters, a hands-on series supported by a Good Life Grant from the Wichita Wagonmasters! Farm Encounters | Cooking on a Wood Stove on Saturday, September 20 at 2pm.
Learn the tips and tricks to cooking on a wood-fired stove using ingredients early Wichita residents had available to them. This program will explore the history of early Wichita’s food scene as participants smell the joy of cooking on a wood-burning stove.
Tickets are $15 per person and limited to 20 participants.
