Farm Care Apprentices @ The Blandford Farm

Is your child a future farmer or perhaps just a farm animal admirer? Sign up for this special 2-hour program to learn how we care for the animals at the Blandford Farm! This program allows children to get hands-on experience with Blandford’s chickens, goat, and sheep, learning how to feed, water and provide enrichment for them. Participants will go home with a Blandford vintage logo vinyl sticker and stories to tell of their fun morning!
This program takes place at the Blandford Farm, located at 3145 Milo St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534. There is parking available at the farm, or you may park at the main Nature Center and enjoy the 10-minute walk to the farm. There are port-a-potties and a hand washing station available at the farm. This is a drop-off program for chidlren ages 10-15, so allergy and emergency information is required for all registrants. Adults are welcome to explore the Nature Center for free while children are in the program. For more information, please email [email protected]. Non-Members: $60
Members (20% discount): $48
Note: This program is for youth ages 10-15. Pre-registration is required. Online registration closes at noon the day before the program. If the program sells out, you may complete your online registration to be added to the waitlist. We will contact you if spots become available. This program will take place indoors and outdoors. Please dress for the weather. In the event of severe weather, this program will be cancelled, and participants will be notified of their refund options.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests received at least 7 days before the scheduled program are eligible for a 50% refund of the total registration cost, not including the credit card processing fee. Due to administration costs, full refunds are not available. Cancellation requests received within 7 days of a program are not eligible for a refund. Please come prepared for the elements as refunds are not available for weather-related conditions except in the case of severe weather. If Blandford cancels a program due to severe weather, you will have two options: transfer your registration to the reschedule date or donate your registration fee. In the event we are unable to reschedule the program, full refunds will be available. All community programs will have a registrant minimum. If the minimum is not met, you will be contacted by Blandford Nature Center and notified of your refund options.
