This special installment of the Rose Bowl’s legendary weekly Hootenanny falls on the 40th anniversary of the first Farm Aid concert, held at Memorial Stadium in Champaign. To mark the occasion, this week's Hoot will be themed for the occasion, featuring performances of songs that were performed at the original Farm Aid concert, 40 years ago, to the day, at Memorial Stadium on September 22, 1985.FYI...
The Hootenanny is a weekly event (13+ years!,)every Monday, hosted by The Rose Bowl. It's an acoustic open mic meets jam session meets community gathering time. On Monday September 22nd, the 40th anniversary of Farm Aid, the theme and focus will be the songs performed at the og Farm Aid concert.
