About this Event

Farewell Summer is a twisted calisthenics showdown challenges, obstacle runs, relays, and survivor tests that will push athletes of all levels. Whether you’re stepping up to compete or pulling up to cheer, this day is about community, grit, and one last send-off to summer.

🕑: 12:30 PM
Push-Up Wave

Info: Setup: Teams of 5-8 in a line.
Rules:
• First athlete drops down and performs 1 push-up.
• Only after the ref says “UP!” can the next athlete start.
• Team must move in strict order, staying in sync.
• Athletes must reach full extension at the top.

Penalties:
• If an athlete holds the bottom longer than 5 seconds → ref counts down. If they fail, the entire team restarts from zero.
• Early start before the “UP!” cue = restart for the whole line.

Roll the Dice: Rep Roulette

Info: Setup: Teams roll giant dice.
Beginner Dice Key:
1 = Push-Ups, 2 = Squats, 3 = Burpees, 4 = Sit-Ups, 5 = Dips, 6 = Pull-Ups
Elite Dice Key:
1 = Muscle-Ups (5), 2 = Pistol Squats (5 each leg), 3 = Burpee Pull-Ups (8), 4 = Toes-to-Bar (12), 5 = Front Lever Hold (15 sec), 6 = Planche Hold (15 sec)

Rules:
• Roll 1 die = exercise + reps.
• Roll 2 dice = add them together for reps/seconds.
• Everyone on team must complete the task.

Penalties:
• Roll doubles = penalty round →
• Beginners: 10 burpees or 30-sec plank.
• Elite: 15 explosive burpees or 30-sec L-sit.

Muscle-Up Relay

Info: Setup: Teams of 8–10. Ladder up to 10 reps.
Rules:
• Each athlete completes 1 rep → next athlete does 1 rep. Continue until all do 1.
• Round 2 = each athlete completes 2 reps, then 3, and so on, up to 10.
• Advanced = muscle-ups.
• Scaled = 5–10 pull-ups.

Penalties:
• Failed rep attempt = must retry until completed.
• Jumping into the rep without control = no count.

Team Routine Exchange

Info: Setup: 2 teams face off.
Rules:
• Each team creates a routine of 3–5 moves (pulls, dips, statics, push-ups).
• Teams exchange routines.
• Must complete both their own routine + the opponent’s.
• Judges/ref score based on completion + form.

Penalties:
• Skipped move = 5 burpee penalty for entire team.
• Poor form (half reps, incomplete hold) = redo.

Obstacle Course Run

Info: Course Order:
1. Iguana hops/lateral hops down zigzag bar
2. Push-up station: 5 wide, 5 close-grip, 5 standard
3. Dips on dip bar (10 reps)
4. Pull-ups (10) or Muscle-ups (5)
5. Gorilla swings across monkey bars
6. Sit-up bench: 15 hip raises (toes-to-sky)
7. Final 30-sec dead hang

Rules:
• Must complete each station before moving on.
• Ref stationed at each checkpoint verifies reps.

Penalties:
• Missed rep = restart that station.
• Skipping a station = disqualification for that run.

Lock & Key (Partner Challenge)

Info: Setup: Athletes in pairs.
Rules:
• One partner holds a static (plank, dip hold, or dead hang).
• The other performs reps (push-ups, dips, pull-ups).
• They switch roles after completing set reps.

Penalties:
• If the “lock” partner drops their hold, the “key” partner must stop reps immediately.
• Restart from zero if reps are continued without hold engaged.


🕑: 04:00 PM
Advanced Spotlight

Info: Setup: Showcase for elite athletes.
Rules:
• 30–60 seconds each to perform freestyle: handstands, levers, planche, typewriters, combos.
• Judges/ref score based on creativity, difficulty, and execution.

Penalties:
• Unsafe attempts = stopped by ref.
• Fail to hold control on static (less than 3 sec) = no score for that move.


🕑: 04:30 PM
Dead Hang Survivor

Info: Setup: All athletes hang on the bar.
Rules:
• Everyone starts at the same time.
• No wrapping legs, no support from body parts other than hands.
• Last athlete remaining wins.

Penalties:
• Feet touch ground = elimination.
• Using bar support/pole = elimination.
