Adriel Brandt is a playwright and audiobook narrator from Vancouver, BC. Adriel is inspired by the framework and scope of classic literature, and is an avid reader. In 2023, Adriel’s adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities was produced by Gallery 7 Theatre in Abbotsford, shortly after Adriel was seen on stage as Eustace Bassington-Bassington in the madcap comedy Jeeves Intervenes. As a Queer, disabled artist, representation is vital to Adriel’s craft, and Fare Thee Well, Poor Miss Taylor shows Adriel’s great delight in infusing classic story with modern sensibilities. Next for the stage from Adriel’s pen is a brand new take on the legends of Robin Hood: a swashbuckling comedy full of merry men, scene-eating villains, and thinly veiled trans allegory.
