About this Event
The sixth edition of Fare Cinema will be held from 12 to 18 June 2023. The event, organized by Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, was firstly launched in 2018 with the aim of providing to the audience worldwide an insight of the Italian film industry in the world,
On the occasion of the 2023 edition, the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney is pleased to present the documentary UNA CLAUSTROCINEFILIA (2022) by Alessandro Aniballi as part of a selection from the films presented during the 2022 edition of the PerSol (Perugia Social Film Festival), obtaining a significant response from critics and audiences, and proposed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to its global network.
UNA CLAUSTROCINEFILIA (Claustrocinephilia): March 2020, the lockdown starts. A cinephile, Alessandro Aniballi, takes refuge in the cinema of the past, trying to understand how this obsession was born in him. Cinema thus becomes the tool for reconstructing the memory of oneself and of the outside world.
