FAR-West Presents is a monthly series devoted to promoting songwriters and artists and building community throughout Southern CA. The series features standout artists of the southern CA songwriting scene, compelling new voices and a participatory songcircle.

Destinie Lynn is a multi-talented singer/songwriter based in Los Angeles, CA. Destinie’s music works within the American roots tradition, or what she affectionately refers to as “porch music” taking influence from the Delta Blues, Indie, Folk, and Americana.
Destinie’s voice is a rich, mellifluous tapestry evoking the affecting sensibilities of blues, jazz, and folk singers past, while her lyricism has been described as nuanced and literary-minded. Destinie writes soulful, often haunting songs that dive fearlessly into love, loss, and mortality; songs that highlight the daily struggles of the soul, all of which are featured on her recently released debut album, Black Bird.
Destinie was a 2023 FAR-West Official Showcase artist.

Mike Berman, Songteller
Mike is a Los Angeles-based talented songwriter and confident performer. He engages his audience with his warm baritone and his effective guitar accompaniment. Audiences cite his storytelling ability, his humor, and his generous and honest performances that draw them into his world. He describes his third album In the Woods, coming this October, as "stories of love, loss, longing, and our connection with the natural world."

Joselyn & Don
Montana-raised, Los Angeles-based Americana duo Joselyn & Don blend Laurel Canyon folk, soul, and classic Americana with a cinematic edge. Their third album "Lost & Found Highway" has earned international radio play and critical praise for Joselyn’s "singular voice” and Don’s “skilled fingerpicking,” as well as their bold lyrics and harmonic sensibility. Songs such as “Choose Love” and “Workin’ the Hi-Line” have been featured on many NPR syndicated radio shows and recently spent ten weeks on Americana radio’s Top 100. The duo tours throughout the Western US with their warm and engaging show, inviting audiences along on their sonic road trip.
