About this Event
They were told it was impossible. Four distinct songwriters coming together to create a singular band? It seemed unprecedented (except for CSNY, The Beatles, The Traveling Wilburys, The Highwaymen, Monsters of Folk, and others). Yet, against the odds, Fantastic Cat forged ahead, defying expectations to produce their eagerly awaited debut, "The Very Best Of Fantastic Cat". Rolling Stone praised it as "a delightfully satisfying mix of folk-rock, country, Americana, and classic rock & roll," propelling the group to their first appearance on national TV, packed headline shows across the US and Europe, and performances at festivals from Sundance to Take Root. Their music even found a home in the Paramount+ series "Tulsa King".
In 2023, this unlikely quartet teamed up with acclaimed producer Butch Walker to record a 50th-anniversary rendition of Wings' "Band On The Run," garnering further acclaim from Rolling Stone, who dubbed them "the Harlem Globetrotters of Americana."
Each member of Fantastic Cat brings a wealth of experience and accolades. Don DiLego's latest album was lauded as a "remarkable achievement" by Paste. NPR likened Anthony D'Amato's songwriting and voice to the greats like Bruce Springsteen or Josh Ritter. Brian Dunne's recent release was hailed by Rolling Stone as "a hidden gem of the year," while Mike Montali's band, Hollis Brown, was described as "the perfect soundtrack for a midnight journey through the heartland." Together, however, these four talents transcend their individual roots, emerging as a united, velvet-draped rock and roll force greater than the sum of their parts.

Openers: Fox and Bones
Scott Gilmore and Sarah Vitort are Fox and Bones—energetic offbeat folksters with retro pop-rock tunes, setting the world alight with a handclapping, foot-stomping good time since 2016. The indomitable duo has brought their optimistic Americana polish to international stages shared with the likes of Rayland Baxter, The Dead South, ZZ Ward, The Talbott Brothers, and Horse Feathers among others.
At Fox and Bones’ core is an unrelenting backbone that represents honest-to-goodness folklore dreams, wrapped in the delectable shine of a duo with a combined 25+ years of songwriting experience. They’re akin to Lake Street Dive, Nathaniel Rateliff, and Shovels & Ropeas a relatable, soul-stirring, retro-tinged folk-rock outfit that knows how to shatter a crowd’s hearts and put them back together all in the same utterance. Scott’s powerhouse grit and Sarah’s resonant tone combine with A-grade songwriting chops to create accessible, relatable, and often heart-rending folk-rock music.
Their hardworking artistic output has earned them first place at the 2023 Tucson Folk Festival songwriting contest and second place in the International Acoustic Music Awards, amongst other accolades. The duo also founded Portland’s Folk Festival: an annual, three-night celebration of folk and roots music at the iconic Crystal Ballroom.
