Program of events
8-11 October: Fab City Challenge - Pre Conference Event
Local and international participants will work in teams to rapid prototype solutions to local social, environmental, and economic issues. A unique experience not to be missed!
14-16 October: Main Conference - Core Conference Events
Over three days participants will get to hear about the latest innovations, network, get hands on in workshops and experience the forefront of digital fabrication, making and STEM education.
17 October: Hunter Innovation Festival - Connect with the Local Innovation Ecosystem
FAN7 participants are able to attend our partner event, the Hunter Innovation Festival, in nearby Newcastle. This one day event brings together industry, innovators and start-ups in the one place to showcase the latest innovations and exchange ideas.
18 October: Fab City Summit - Bringing it All Together
The Fab City Summit provides a platform for participants to share their experiences, knowledge, and ideas, learn from one another, and collaborate on innovative solutions to the challenges facing communities today. This event will be the culmination of all the learning that has happened throughout the conference and result in recommendations for actions the Hunter region and more broadly Australia can take to make the future now.
19 October: Community Festival - Open Day For All
FAN7's community open day will be accessible to all and coincide with the Fast and Loud Festival. It will be a day of learning, fun, competitions and high octane action. The event will include races of the top-tier Offshore Superboats and Powerboats.
The day will end with the FAN7 closing party and Fab City Challenge Awards.

Note: If you are under 17 years of age you cannot attend the conference by yourself and will need someone 18 years or older to accompany you. The person accompanying you will also need to purchase a ticket. The person accompaning you is eligible to purchase a carer/guardian ticket.
