Why Family Yoga? Let's face it--conflicts and differences make it hard to be together as a family sometimes. In my own family, we've been wondering how we can nurture the groundwork to grow a fertile family relationship, so that we can stay connected and grow together, rather than apart.

Family Yoga Retreat Includes:
Lodging for 3 nights for 3-4 people among the huge pine trees near Hayward WI
Swimming and pontoon boat rides on the beautiful clear waters of Round Lake
3 breakfasts and 3 dinner meals shared communally
5 sessions of yoga + mindfulness time together (each morning and evening)
Dave, Tracy + Beatrix as your guides as you explore outdoor fun together like hiking + biking
COST: $875 per family of 3-4 people
$799 if registered and paid before August 1st

Yoga + Mindfulness together each morning and evening. We’ll dive into a full yoga practice together in the mornings. Throughout the retreat, we will include activities from AIM, a workbook created to share Acceptance Commitment Therapy and mindfulness with kids. Don’t let that scare you though - it is all meaningful and fun! Evenings will offer restorative yoga and a chance to connect again before bed.
Free Time in the Afternoons with options for hosted events where we show you our favorite trails and fun spots, and offer as much guidance as you’d like. We'll help hook you up with rentals if you need equipment as well.
swim in the lake, ride the pontoon boat!
take the kayaks or SUP for a peaceful ride on the lake
fat tire biking on world-class trails
hiking or wandering around with huge pine trees
go out to eat and shop nostalgic downtown Hayward
Visit Cable's Natural History Museum with great exhibits for kids - this town has fantastic hiking + restaurants as well!
Hayward has been one of our favorite vacation spots for over a decade, so we’re happy to share any tidbits we know with you.
MEALS: Many meals are included - communal eating tends to create opportunity for connections that we might miss otherwise. Breakfast and dinner are included each day. All meals will be vegetarian, and you can let us know if you have food needs (gluten-free, vegan, etc). We are making the meals to make it easier on you, but this is a judgment-free zone so feel free to eat what works best for you and your family!
Lunch is on your own. There is a spacious kitchen and 2 full-size fridges, so you can bring your own food for lunch and snacks. You can also choose to eat at Powell’s, a restaurant onsite. Our lodge is a 10-15 minute drive from many other restaurants.
ACCOMMODATIONS: The Lodge has 3 bedrooms designed for families. Each room has a queen-sized bed and built-in bunk beds with full-size mattresses. These rooms sleep 3-4 people. You can choose who your family is for this retreat- maybe this is one parent and 2 kids, or a favorite aunt and their nephew and that nephew’s friend, or 2 grandparents and their 2 kiddos. If you only have 2 folks in your party, or have more than 4, talk to Tracy directly and we’ll figure out the best way to swing it.
RETREAT SUGGESTIONS: We will recommend that in our communal spaces (kitchen, dining area, the large living room, and the beach + pontoon boat), we don't use electronic devices except for cameras and clocks. This keeps phones, iPads, laptops, gaming devices in bedrooms for private use as your family sees fit. And no judgment on what that usage is by the way! This just helps eliminate the distraction as we attempt to connect with who is actually in the room with us.
Please join us and take a chance on meaningful, intentional connections with our families, each other and Nature!
Please email [email protected] with any questions, or if the registration link does not work. Thanks!
